Yes . . . We have left the dock at the St Lucie River Lock. The past couple of weeks have been a turmoil of activity.
An impromptu cook-out with friends
celebrating my birthday.
A day trip to LaBelle for honey.
A long time family business showing bees at work in an outdoor mural.
We stopped at a boat yard hoping to see the plywood boat that George built more than 30 years ago.
And there it was! What a lasting accomplishment!
The final few days the dodger with the smile windows was completed and installed.
More of the local wildlife came to bid us goodbye.
George helped this gopher tortoise back to his burrow after his long trek to say farewell.
It is time to leave when the spiders begin moving in.
This one even gave us a rainbow salute on our way out!
So for now, so long to the dock at the lock
as we sail away from the sunset to our next location.
The mooring field at Sunset Bay Marina for the next week or so
enjoying the rocking of Gracie
and completing minor repairs.
Until next time . . . .
